Battle Tested Kids is a non-profit organization that aims to guide disadvantaged at risk youth to becoming positive, well rounded, educated, compassionate, leaders of tomorrow. Through participation in organized sports training and competition we focus on self discipline, leadership, accountability, healthy living, teamwork and responsibility.

There are over 100,000 kids living in the bay area attending public schools (Oakland, San Francisco, Richmond, San Rafael) of which the majority are from low income impoverished areas. Free time is a critical time where parents are tasked with finding affordable  programs and activities to enroll their kids.

Organized sports have played a critical role in the lives of both past and present generations, providing kids with a sense of purpose, and value. Programs can be very costly for kids in underprivileged  at risk communities. Our organization is here to balance the scales in these communities and provide kids with the opportunity to attend camp. 

 

Our sports leadership programs  encourage youth to stay in school, live productive lives, and resolve conflicts in non violent ways. We promote tolerance, understanding, and help kids develop an increased sense of self worth and confidence which we’ve seen result in an enhanced community. So the challenges our programs address are:

• Violence in Our Communities
